Why: This workshop addresses both the need to build teacher awareness, skill and confidence integrating Outdoor Learning into their teaching practice, as well as providing them the opportunity to experience Forest Therapy, an effective wellness practice for themselves and their students. Evidence-based Forest Therapy is an excellent tool that Educators can incorporate into their learning experiences to support student mental health and well-being, boost SEL skills, and foster a deeper nature connection. It aligns with the province’s emphasis to include more mental health literacy by providing mental health supports for students. This personal-care practice can help teachers build resilience and avoid burnout.

No nature at your school? No problem. This workshop will show you ways to adapt.
